About Namra Villa

Welcome to Namra villa . This is the second branch of namra village hotel . We the Namra’s have been in this travel business for over 2 decades and we want everyone visiting ladakh to have a memorable stay as we also own travel company you need not to worry as we provide the best and reasonable packages for you .

Namra villa is located 5km from airport and 1.5 km from the main market.
On the back side we have a small farm where we grow local organic vegetables and fruits so that our guest can have a taste of our traditional Ladakhi food.

The historic Temisgam village is set amidst the Himalayan valley of Sham along the bank of the mighty Indus river.

Namra Villa offers a perfect blend of comfort, tradition and quaintness of rural Ladakh, frozen in time

Meet People

Say hello to the family and the friendly inhabitants of Tingmosgang. Meet and interact with the folks of the village. Ask questions to the elderly, join the farmers in the field and play with children. Make friends, visit their homes and share stories..

Camping

The hotel has everything in place to turn its spacious backyard into an ideal camping spot. Well-equipped dome tents can be pitched under the trees and beside the frolicking stream. The guests can huddle near the bonfire in the evening. The tall trees, fresh air and bare mountains in the view enhance the feeling of recreational camping.

Meditate

Meditate in the family Buddhist shrine room. The shrine room houses the holy statues, scriptures and artefacts that evoke a divine energy. Tune in and sense the vastness of the land around and the power and insignificance of our beings.

Hike

The hotel is an ideal spot for short hikes that only takes a day. For the uninitiated, the mountain behind the hotel offers an uphill hiking trail. For a longer hike, our expert guides will accompany the guest through the hiking trails in the vicinity.

Cook

Learn to put together several authentic Ladakhi dishes by learning in the traditional Namra traditional kitchen. Help the cooks pick the produce from the orchards, prepare the ingredients using traditional methods and witness the ingredients turning into sumptuous meals in Namra kitchen.

Festival

A festival called Tukpaichunna takes place in summer every year at the Tserkarmo monastery, 3 km from the hotel, to celebrate the birth anniversary of Jay Gampopa, one of the greatest Kagyu masters. The exact date depends on when the anniversary is marked in a particular year’s lunar calendar. Achi mask dance is its primary attraction. The festival attracts hundreds of people across the world every year.

Photography

Set out on a photo session to capture the beautiful scenery around. Climb to the palace and watch the three valleys fork out like a lotus flower. The village offers one of the best spots in the region to capture perfect time lapse and star trails.

Whitewater Rafting

White river rafting is popular the region. This stretch of Indus river in Ladakh, with its gentle force, beautiful canyons and rapids offer perfect condition for some frolicking in the water. Several rafting itineraries are available depending on the level the guests want to engage in. Level I-III is possible here.

IT is a beautiful property in heart of leh city ,the house has beautiful ladhaki architecture and maintained well..A special thanks goes to dosang ,who helped me with the itenary at leh and made it a very memorable family trip for us .we enjoyed their hospitality with a yummy ladhaki cuisine called chutagi.highly recommend this, a home away from home to all planning their ladhak trip soon.

It’s a great place to stay in Leh. Location is very beautiful, it’s a well maintained villa with clean and spacious rooms. Upon arrival the hosts(Dosang& Tashi) welcomed all of us really well and took good care as we had issues because of change in altitude. The staff (Rahul) is really good and friendly. They also serve really awesome home cooked food. They planned most of our ladakh trip which was definitely one of the best trips we have had till date.. Thank you so much for such an awesome experience..

Gorgeous building! Beautiful Ladakhi style architecture, with sublime quantities of wood and woodwork which is to revel at. High quality rooms. The property emits a fantastic charm and the garden with the Apricot trees blooms to create a dreamy summer hazy, which we all chase to experience. The host and his staff were amazing. They went above and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable, comfortable and fulfilling. Catering to every need of all the guests meticulously. Extremely efficient management. Helped us plan, manage and book transport, accomodation and activities to other places in Ladakh viz, Pangong Lake Trip, Nubra Valley Trip, etc. They were extremely accommodating and allowed us to check in as early as 8am. So this was a big plus. Pristine location. Maybe the best in Leh! The property offers everything you need if you don’t feel like venturing out. 360º views of the surrounding mountains. All attractions of Leh are in clear, unhindered sight from the perfectly accentuated roof. Breathtaking!! The rooms were very clean, fresh and very comfortable. Brand new amenities. The bed was very comfortable. The linen was thoroughly clean. Hygiene was top notch. Had a wonderful experience and very memorable stay. Would definitely revisit. Afterall it is an abode closer to paradise. I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at Namra Villa for 4 days and we loved every moment spent there. It felt like a home and not a hotel. Special thanks to Dosang & Tashi for taking care of all our needs and arranging everything even if last minute requests. The rooms are great and even better are the views from the room, balcony and dining space. Namra villa looks exactly how it is shown in the pics! Will definitely visit again <3

We planned for a trip to Ladakh for 6-7 days and had just found Hotel Namra on line. But the owner was too helpful and planned our whole itinerary. Namra was a good stay. The food, staff, ambiance everything felt like home. I would recommend this place to everyone who is planning to go to Leh.

As you wake up you can see the snow capped mountains all around you. Down stream you can hear the sound of fresh glacier water . This villa is surrounded by more then 50 types of flowers and on the back side apricot tree ,grapes ,blueberries,apple trees are all over .

This villa is situated at the best location where on the right you can see the shanti stupa ( Japanese stupa) the view point of leh and on the left side you can see the leh palace(The first royal palace of ladakh).

or break fast we usually provide our guest with puffed local bread ( khambir) white& brown bread ,tea ,coffee & poha and for dinner it’s usually depends on the guest wish .
Namra villa has a friendly dog (Topsi) who has taken incharge looking after this villa for more then 7 years now . Even she has taken equally responsible for looking after the guest and keeping them happy .
